01/08/06--we recorded a new song.

09/26/05--ok, so scratch all those promises we've made so far.
due to unforseen circumstances, the album is pushed back indefinitely...
but don't worry, that doesn't mean we aren't still working on it, it will release!
(and hopefully sooner than later)
sorry we suck so bad. we'll make good on this, for real.

09/05--yeeeeeah.... well, i guess we are taking a short break from recording.
but have no fear, we still guarantee that in october (on the 25th) you will have a new

7/17/05--alright you sonsabitches, here's the info y'all been waiting for.
the new record will be called "mail bombs disguised as love letters"
it will have 13 tracks
there will be some guest appearances from MCs like TX, kristy (star), and bug zapper
and just in time for back to school, the album will release on: Tuesday, September 6th, 2005!
it will be up for sale in our online store, and you can check back here to download a
free preview track called "it's coming back" on August 23rd.

6/04/05--damn, it seems like we ignored you for a long time.
but it's not true! --we've been thinking about you all along...

the new record is coming (not actually a record cuz we'll likely still be too poor to press it)
we are deeply deep in the middle of recording. it's gonna be a true full length lp, with beats and rhymes your ears
have never heard (unless plus is reading this, in which case you have). "MBDALL" will be your new favorite album

our album 'dead media' has just gone double (and a half) copper, with distribution of over 4 copies.

we've been just taking it easy since recording 'dead media' which will henceforth be referred to as "the album of the year."

8/2/04--the good and the bad, or maybe all bad (depending on how you look at it.)
the computer bit the dust, and i had to dump the hard drive--
but i managed to salvage the 3 songs that were in production,
they weren't finished, but i posted what we had in the sounds section, thus completeing
the suicide sessions.--so go check them out, but don't judge too hard on the unfinished tracks.
also mad updates to the "check" section, so go 'check' it out.

7/24/04--well, there have been a bunch of updates to the site,
and hopefully some of them actually work.--if you are having issues with dead links,
redirects, or missing files, please email me (minus) and let me know what's up.
on a related note, my computer is dying. i'm having some awful f**king virus and spyware issues.
everytime i fix something it gets worse...but then everything in my life is like that.

7/15/04--we've decided to add a section to the site that we've been talking about for a bit now.
it's the 'check this out' section. where we just post pictures and links and things that we like.
also added is the oldest old school official stopfate song, go to the 'sounds' section for that.
one last update is that the news section is being archived...for now it's all on one page, so for old posts
just click the link at the bottom of the news page.

7/10/04--you think you know?
t-shirts are held up, design is done, but we're fighting amongst ourselves over the details.
recording a new song about suicide (yeah another one), no title yet, but it sounds pretty good.

5/26/04--back from California, it was pretty rad.
L.A. was ok, traffic sucked--but Palm Springs was awesome.

5/16/04--sorry it's been so long since the last update, but it's been busy.
first off, it's our boy chad's birthday, so happy birthday.
next, we just left Tennessee.
it was pretty tight, we wanna say what's up to our happy hiking homies,

3/13/04--hey y'all... today there are some new lyrics in the 'words' section.
if you care to read them, feel free.
the new lyrics are for the songs 'the headache' and 'she never liked hardcore.'
both tracks will be on the minus ep 'the soundtrack to your suicide.'
-which is, in truth, just another stopfate release that is more minus oriented.
and by the way, all the tracks and initial recording is finished on that ep...
only thing left is the intro which is in the works.

today there are some updates to the inspire section, and there are two new tracks for you

they are the full versions and might take some time to download. if they aren't up yet, check back

the first two tracks will probably end up on the minus ep, which is tentatively titled:

2/18/04--crazy things in the stopfate world these days...
on the brink of calling it quits, a dramatic change has swept the camp--
what's that you say? a minus solo ep? could be....could be.
no we aren't breaking up, but rather waking up and realizing what needs to happen.
the world is changing and so must we.
so anyway, some dope new tracks are nearly complete--and now is the time to aggresively attack
record labels, if you know anyone--send them to the site, or tell us where to send a demo.

by now some of you may have heard a rumor about us playing a mardi gras show.
it could be true, we are still working on details for a show that will indeed take place during mardi gras..

we have some potential news on the horizon, but i won't jinx it by saying anything yet.
music is halted, other things have gotten in the way--don't worry, it's still stopfate related.
by the way, we would like thank from the bottom of our hearts all the kids who left us
stranded out in the cold and wouldn't let us use their phones when we were at penn state berhend this
past weekend.
--and we'd like to especially thank that one guy for not relaying messages.

here you go, it's the demo version of "I'm sorry (about Christmas)."
(the whole song is about 3 megs, so you might only want to get it if you have a high speed connection.)

circumstances being what they are, the new cd will not be out before the end of the year.
HOWEVER...tuesday, december 23rd, "i'm sorry (about christmas)" will be on the site to download.

11/24/03--wow, huge news! fresh from the victoria's secret fashion show,
none other than Adriana Lima has signed on to be the zombie girl in our video for "be mine."
ok, i'm lying. it's not true at all.
but here's what is true--
the new stopfate release will be a 3 song ep, just in time for christmas!
the tentative track listing will be:
1. i'm sorry (about christmas)
2. the headache
3. timebomb '03
we are well into the writing stages and have begun recording.

11/19/03--What's up vast legion of loyal fans? (heh!)
some new info for you on the inspire page, apparently plus finally felt you worthy of knowing his
listening habits. does anyone even care what we're listening to? maybe not, but you should
check out some of the music we list in that section.
BIG NEWS: things are happening...you will hear new stopfate before the year's end.
not much else going on, but there will be more significant details on the new stuff in the
next couple days.

11/15/03--It's been a few days...nothing much has happened. Plus is alive,
and relatively well. he's currently all drugged up due to his recent hospital stay.
he still has to write an update about it, but no need to be worried.
we have our first official complaint, apparently the content of this website may be offensive
to some parties. that's pretty funny, huh?
The inspire section is updated, but may never be finished, as new things inspire us every day.
Also, here's a little hint about some of the new music...December--internet only release.

11/12/03--Some kinda big news today, Plus has been MIA for several days
(as you may or may not have known)--well he just turned up, he's been in the hospital
the whole time. no word yet on what happened or how he's doing, but hopefully he'll give me
an update so i can post it for you.

11/9/03--Today the sounds section is complete, you can listen to clips from
each track on both of our cds, also new today is the bio section (unfinished), and
more of the inspire section is updated. We are currently talking to several potential
collaborators for the new songs and thinking about re-recording some of the ep tracks.

Also coming soon, more pictures, more info, more sounds, more everything.
